Slices - Modern Bride / Chump Change 7"

Slices have a dropped a new 2 song 7" courtesy of Kemado Records. This is less noisy than their earlier 7"s. More of a rock n roll meets hardcore punk sound going on here. Really great stuff, can't wait for the new LP on Iron Lung Records. You can buy it from Kemado but if you're ordering from overseas their postage is a rip off so get it from In Vinyl We Trust.

Iron Lung Mixtape I

Iron Lung Records recently put together this mixtape of bands and friends of the label, 20 bands with 1 unreleased track each. Like any good mixtape this has a really diverse collection of songs on it. The stand outs for me are the tracks from Slices, Solutions, Cold Sweat, Walls and Mind Eraser but if you've been reading this blog for a while that would come as no surprise. This was worth buying for the unreleased Cold Sweat track alone, it's a live recording of them covering Black Flag's "I've Heard It Before". Of course the Iron Lung track rules but at 15 seconds long you could almost miss it if you weren't paying attention.

Iron Lung Records have a stack of new releases coming out that I can't wait to hear. Unfortunately if you haven't already got this one, you missed out. All 500 copies sold out pretty quick. You can of course listen to the whole tape below or download from Terminal Escape.

New releases from Iron Lung Records. I really dig this label and the records they've put out so far, definitely keeping an eye out for future releases.

Slices - Cruising LP
This is Slices first full length release after 2 killer 7"s. Great weirdo punk from Pittsburgh. Don't judge it by the cover as it sounds nothing like it looks. Limited to 700 on black vinyl and comes with a bad mask. Looks like there might be 4 masks out there. Anyone get a different one?

Society Nurse - Junk Existence 7"
I don't know much about this band except it's there first release and has a member or members from Walls. 3 songs of fast distorted hardcore. Good shit. Really nice packaging for a 7" as well, super thick card sleeve with obi strip and insert. Awsome artwork by Matthew G. Adis. Limited to 700 and I think this is a one time pressing so don't snooze.
