Thou / Moloch - Tears That Soak A Callous Heart

Just received the new Thou / Moloch split in the mail. Thou are pumping out the releases at the moment with plenty more to come, including a new LP on Southern Lord, heaps of splits and a few represses too. This was put out by The Perpetual Motion Machine on 12" and Cassette. Both bands play crushing sludge and both bands kill it on this split. Usually I end up listening to one band on a split way more than the other but this record is going to get an even spin.

1000 clear vinyl were pressed and the first 130 orders came with a silk screened poster.

The cassette was limited to 300 and came with a patch. There's still some left so go buy here now.

The Bastard Noise - A Culture Of Monsters 12"

New album from The Bastard Noise on Deep Six Records. If my memory is correct the red vinyl was limited to 200. Came in a gatefold sleeve with foldout poster. The colour scheme kinda hurts my eyes but the music is killer.

Chickenshit

Chickenshit were another 90s Perth hardcore band. Really fucking good shit. Here's the two split 7"s that they released, both with Japanese bands.

Chickenshit / UG Man - Split 7"
This one came out in 1995 on HG Fact records in Japan.

Came with an old mail order insert. I wish I could still buy that Corrupted / Grief split for that price.

Chickenshit / Unholy Grave - Split 7"
MCR Company in Japan put this one out in 1995. One of the millionth Unholy Grave splits out there. I think that band is trying to break some sort of record. The Chickenshit side rules. Give it a listen below.

Nailed Down - Leak Of Deadly Bacteria 7"

Hell good crusty hardcore punk from Perth, Western Australia. This one was put out in 1996 by South Australian label Spiral Objective. There's some confusion on the title of this 7" as I've seen it called "Destroy Deceitful Fellows" before due to the cover art but I'm pretty sure "Leak Of Deadly Bacteria" is the correct name.

Rupture - Cunt Of God 12"

I found a bunch of old Perth records gathering dust in a distro that I will be posting about. I'm always interested in checking out some of Perth's punk and hardcore history. First up is this LP from WA Deros Rupture released back in 1999 on Rhetoric Records. One of their later recordings, not their best but not their worst either. The colour of this vinyl looks so dirty I wouldn't be surprised if it was meant to be shit and blood swirl or something like that. As far as I know, this colour was limited to 300.

Grief / 16 - Split 10"

I found this new in a distro for $8 Australian which is a pretty rad deal compared to what it goes for on ebay. This was released in 1998 by Pessimiser Records. One song by each band with 16 doing a sludged out cover of Slayers "At Dawn They Sleep". The Grief side rules though and the cover art goes perfectly with their song "Bored". These bands had already released a split 7" together in 1994 but they're different songs to the one's on this 10".

D.R.I. - Crossover 12"

Beer City Records have just reissued some of the D.R.I. back catalog on coloured vinyl. They've pressed the first few LPs and 7"s so far and hopefully more to follow. I'll be getting some of the others later but for now here's the Crossover LP on red vinyl limited to 1100 copies.

The D.R.I. logo is probably one of the most iconic punk band logos ever made. Up there with Black Flag, Misfits and Dead Kennedys.
